Hmm... I agree with her to a certain extent. Yes women should feel empowered ... but I don't think anyone should walk with pride... I think they should walk with dignity. I've met beautiful women whom I dislike. Not because I don't like her confidence or I feel jealous of her beauty. MashaAllah, God gave her beauty, that's her blessing. But a beautiful woman should still be humble. In fact, in my eyes it will make her more beautiful. Nobody likes a fake or arrogant person no matter what they look like on the outside.
Yes, as women we should claim our place in this world... but we should never become proud and arrogant because of what we have or who we are. Everything is from from the Almighty. Nothing we have is truly ours. Even though we have worked hard to achieve what we want, it was Allah swt who made it possible.

it's true,everything comes from Allah and we should always humbly remember this.Your comment sure gives us a very deep perspective on the subject of being confident and proud,and I agree with what you're saying.Yet,I think Tyra's words should be taken as a mere boost of confidence.Personally I think there's nothing wrong with having a bit of healthy confidence and in being moderetly proud of ones achievements.Of course,if the limits of these two are exceeded into snobbism,that's another story. You know,there are women that have the "all that" thing,and that I just don't like them.And,that's not because I'd be envious of them,but just because I find them as being real bitches.I might sound rude by using this word,yet sometimes behind a sparkling appearance there's a hidden bleak character.I'm sure Tyra knows such women,too. However,there are women that have a great aura surrounding them and sometimes we might find ourselvs being a bit jealous of them,so I think Tyra just wanted to say that we should instead take them as in inspiration and appreciate their positive energy.With the help of Allah,always! After watching the video I have more respect for Tyra than before. She spoke the truth and I agree with her!
