A BIT OF A CHALLENGE

Two days ago I went for a stroll in a shopping center near my village in Slovenia.Whenever I am there I make sure I stop by NewYorker,even if it is just to have a look and with no intention of buying something.NewYorker is a German clothing company who has stores in Europe,Russia,Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia.From what I have heard or seen on YouTube and various blogs I think it is a bit similar to the U.S.A clothing company Forever 21 with a very modern and up to date fashion.I like it very much and I shop there a lot - that is because between all the very trendy pieces I always manage to find a nice classic piece with an edge that makes me look smart and modern at the same time.Not to mention that they also have very nice bijoux!I am also very happy with the quality of the clothes.In regards to that I was disappointed only once when I bought a coat there.Even though I adore the model of it,the fabric is very strange and it always attracts a lot of dust.Anyways,I still like to wear it,but only for short walks around my village.The prices are very affordable and I do not think I have ever seen a piece reaching the 100 €.

However,what I wanted to tell you,is that two days ago when I was all happy around the store and inspecting all that they had to offer,I saw the above top.It was a love at first sight!This top just has everything I love in a piece of clothing: vibrant color,bright and colorful sequins and it is flowy around the body.It is just perfect in my eyes,but I also think it is quite inappropriate for my age.This is the problem I have with it!The colors and all are just great in my opinion,but the style of it just screams - teenager!

To make it short,when I saw it,yes I thought it was very nice,but I also could hear a small voice in my head telling me:"Woman,you want to look modern,not ridiculous!" So...I left the store and that was the end of story for me...or at least I thought so...

Back at home I could not stop thinking about it and I was trying to find a way to wear it without looking like a thirtyseven year old woman who does not understand that she is no longer seventeen.Yeah...but you know how it is with love - the heart does not listen to the mind - and so yesterday I went back to NewYorker and I bought my top.Needless to say that I felt like a burglar and so I sneaked out of the store as soon as I could and hid the loot in my purse.

Now I have it and I love it,and dear God it makes me so want to go out and party like a queen!I just have to find a way to wear it - so this is my challenge.I have to find a way to wear it with style and appropriate to my age,because one thing is for sure - I want to be a good looking thirtyseven year old woman,not a crazy one!

If you have any suggestions my dear readers,please let me know obout them.Oh...and any ideas from the muslim readers are also very welcomed...you know I trust in your sense of modesty.

When I will have a look in my mind and I will feel sure about it,I will make sure to dress like it and post some pictures here on my blog.

P.S.:If one of you will come up with a really nice idea,I will prepare a surpise for you and send it to you,wherever you are.You do not need to be a subscriber to this blog for this,but when choosing an idea I will give a priority to my subscribers.The challenge will be completed when I will find a look that I really like.I am waiting for your ideas :)! For the past week or so I have been thinking a lot about my native language (Slovene) and how I relate to it when I read the Bible or the Quran.Allow me to explain myself better...

Some of you maye have noticed that at the end of my last post,I published a passage from the Bible and a verse from the Quran.I chose both of them in regards to my feelings and thoughts of a certain moment of my life.

At first there was an idea going on in my mind and then I looked up for some verses related to it in the Bible and in the Quran.By no means I did this in search of any comparison between the two holy Books,but just out of mere curiosity about how might the same subject be seen through two different lenses.During my reading and researching of the Bible and the Quran I might stumble upon passages or verses that strike particularly my emotions and so I might wish to share them with you my dear readers.This is just to explain that the way I might choose the passeges or verses to publish at the end of a post is purely subjective and personal.Of course,I would be more than happy to read your thoughts about the passeges or verses I decide to publish,but in no way are they put there to be polemized about - because you can not really polemize with God's words.

Now,I know I should explain to you why all of a sudden I decided to publish passeges from the Bible together with the verses from the Quran ( probably my older readers might remember that for a certain period I used to publish only some verses from the Quran at the end of each post ) , but the time for me to do so is just not right yet.Even though all of it has something to do with a decision I took in regards with my religion,at the moment I do not feel like talking about it.At the right time I will tell you everything,trust me.Back to my native language and my reading of the Bible and the Quran...

I do not have the Bible or the Quran in a book form,but I read them on-line.When reading only the Quran I usually consulted only the English version,since this is the language in which I write my blog and subsequently the language in which some of the words from God might be published at the end of a post.When reading only the Quran this system was quite fine with me and if per chance I would have not understood some words or the meaning of a verse I would just have looked for its translation in the Italian ( which I consider my second language ) version and most of the times this was enough for me to fully comprehend the meaning of a verse.Rarely would I have felt the need to look up into the Slovene version of the Quran in order to have the certainty that I grasped completely the meaning of a verse.Of course,I can only hope that I really undersood the true meaning of the words from God.

However,when I started to read the Bible I had a lot of difficulties understanding it,and here I do not mean so much the words ,as much as I mean the actual meaning of some passages or even just verses.I went down the exact same road as when reading the Quran,by consulting it in English first and then maybe also in Italian,but that just did not seem enough.I had to read it in Slovene,too!It was like I would meet a Slovene person in a foreign country,but we would speak in English.In my eyes,that would be very strange.Thus only after I started to read the Bible in Slovene I had the feeling that I was fine and that at a certain point I will understand the meaning of its passages or verses.Or at least this is what I humbly aim and hope to achieve.

By this I do not want to say that the Quran is easier to understand as the Bible.No it is not,but probably in my mind I was looking at the Quran as a holy Book which is completely different from my culture ,my way of life and from any kind of religious notions I had before.I guess I saw it as a subject I had to study first,before considering the idea of letting it enter my heart,mind and whole being.With the Bible it was different.It came spontaneous to me to read it also in Slovene.In the same way as it would be completely normal to me to speak in Slovene to a Slovene person if meeting her abroad.Let me put this in a more detailed example...

It is like when a person who has been living abroad for several years and is very familiar with the language of a given country has a big personal problem.Most likely this person will search for an advice from a person who comes from the same native country and therefore speaks the same native language.That not so much because he might trust the other person much more than he would trust a person from the country he is living in now,but simply because he would feel that he can express himself much better in his native language.In my opinion you can truly express your emotions only in your native language.When you speak your native language you feel in the right place,and that means a lot when you have a problem and you want to talk about it.It is a kind of a good start and maybe you even feel more secure that there will be a solution to your problem.I feel confident that someone who lives abroad will understand what I am talking about.

Sometimes when in Italy I get this strange feeling that I just can not express myself right.Not that I would not be able to find the right words or make good sentences,but it is a feeling within.It is like I know I can say and mean from the bottom of my heart "I love you" in Italian or in some other languages,but only when I say "ljubim te" it comes from within my whole being.This confidence which comes from speaking in your native language,is the same confidence I get when reading the Bible in Slovene.It might even be that I do not understand some passeges from the Bible as well as I understand some verses from the Quran,but still the Bible is something I know and something that comes from my culture,from my home.

Maybe if I had started to read the Quran in Slovene things would be different by now.Who knows...

I hope I made any sense with this post.I guess I just wanted to say,that even though I really do like to read the Quran and it always gives me so much that I can not even tell you,it is not a holy Book that I would know or feel as my own.Probably at this point I do not even feel that the Bible is something I really have in my heart,but I sure do feel like it is something that comes from my world,if I may say so.The first notion I had of it or the first time I heard or read of it it was in my native language - and that is something that stays deeply inside.

To sum up,I think I want to say that there might be a correlation between our native language and how we perceive religious texts - especially the holy Books.

P.S.: Today I will not publish any holy verses.Before doing again so I will make sure I will get the Bible and the Quran in its book form and in Slovene,just so that I will be even more sure of the verses I decide to publish and understand or feel them even better.

So...maybe I could post a verse I came up with on my own.Just a little something that came to my mind thanks to my own experiences.It does not have anything to do with today's post,but at least it is a verse,and this time it is only mine ;)...

About two weeks ago,I had one of those very sad days when something or someone makes you so desperate that all you wish for is the comfort of your home,some cocoa and possibly a good movie on the TV.At least that is what makes me feel better when I get in such a melancholic mood.

However,on that day I was right in the centre of the city and thus too far away from my home,so that the idea of me going first to my house seemed at that moment like too big of a job.I needed a quick fix for my sadness and so I decided I will go to Sephora and buy me some pretty little things.How wonderful it was going through all those cosmetics and parfumes!In a moment I flew in another world and in an instant I felt happier - and more optimistic about the situation that made me sad in the first place.

Here is what I bought: VOLUPTE' SHEER CANDY in number 1 (lush coconut) by YSL (24,90 €) and STAR POWDER in number 920 by MUFE (19,00 €).

What looks like a lipstick is more of a glossy balm (that's also written on the package) and it does not give you any strong color,but a nice and very moisturizing sheen.You could call it a deluxe lip balm :o)!

The pigment / eyeshadow on the other hand is very pigmented and of such a beautiful yellow / gold color.It has been for a really long time that I was in search of a yellow eyeshadow,because I saw some make-up tutorials using such a color and I really liked the different looks.I am looking forward to recreate some of those looks.I like so much the color of this pigment that sometimes I just open the little pot and look at it in amazement :o)!

AN ANUSUAL COMBINATION

This dessert is very common in the region in Slovenia where I come from - which is the coast.Maybe it is common also in other parts of Slovenia,but I only know that in the last few years many restaurants in my region have this a bit unusual dessert on their menu.I personally do not consider it among one of my favorite sweet dishes,as it has a bit of a heavy taste,but sometimes I would enjoy it - especially if I would eat it after a more elaborate main dish,maybe something with a lot of spices...

Anyways,you might want to try it :o)!All you need are just some very good quality vanilla

ice-cream and some pumpkin seed oil.The nuts are completely optional,but I added them,just beacause I wanted to try it out with them - and actually it turned out very delicious...to me much more than just the ice-cream and the oil.

And voila' here is a quick dessert that I am sure will surprise many of your guests.Hm...seems like a fun idea for Halloween if you are celebrating it :)...

P.S.:Make sure to buy a very good quality virgin pumpkin seed oil,as only such a one is full of vitamin E - which is a known antiaging substance :).

To remain in line with the previous post I wanted to post a video with an interview with Jessica Alba.As you can see here she is pregnant - and that is with her second child.I will publish the picture of her and her little family in the next post,because blogger just would not upload it here.

My dear God how beautiful she is here and so nice!

The reason why I wanted to post exactly this video is because in it she is dressed just in the way that makes me love her style so much.In fact what I really like about her and what inspires me so much is that she always looks so put together.As for example here she is wearing a long dress which compliments beautifuly her pregnant figure and even though it seems very comfortable,it still is very elegant and absolutely feminine.Then she pairs it with big earings and platforms in the golden colour that give the whole look a nice frame and harmony.The hair is pulled back in a high pony tail which is the perfect hair style for such a Grecian style dress.Every detail is well studied to match everything else and that is what makes an outfit really outstanding.Ohhhh :)...I simply love her :)!

If you have ever spent a little more time on my blog,you must have noticed how much I adore Jessica Alba.She is one of my absolutely favorite celebrities and I really like the way she dresses.

Anyway,I am quite sad,because I discovered that the site I used to visit to get the latest news and pictures about her is no longer active.Thus,this time it was very difficult to find any recent and good pictures of her,but I managed to find at least one that I really like.The above picture is a scan from the Chech issue of Harper's Bazaar (May 2011) and on it she is wearing a dress and sandals by Louis Vuitton.I find this picture very suitable for today,because in Slovenia and Italy it still is very hot.However,I am so ready for autumn :)...

THE CASTLE OF OTOČEC IN SLOVENIA

The past weekend I visited together with my parents the castle of Otočec near the city of Novo mesto in Slovenia.The castle stands by the river of Krka and is surrounded by a beautiful park.It really is a beautiful and romantic place!

The castle dates back to the 13th century.

There are many swans in the park surrounding the castle and graciously swimming on the river.

Haters are a part of success and help you believe in yourself ! If you believe the haters more than yourself, they’ve won. Don’t let the haters win; let them push you to believe in YOU even more!
Number 2 – Work hard!
Nothing is more important than hard work! Life doesn’t give you success; you have to go out there and make it happen. Your dreams are totally doable but hard work is how they come true!
Number 3 – Stay positive!
There’s enough hate and negativity out there to drive anyone crazy! But that doesn’t mean it has to drive you crazy! No matter what happens, keep a positive mindset! Positive thinking and working hard make those dreams come true, dolls!
Number 4 – Build a great team!
There is no way I could do what I do without an amazing team. Don’t try to do everything yourself. It’s SOOO important to know what you’re good at and then be really good at it. Find people who are good at the stuff you’re not so good at and empower them to shine! It takes team work to make the dream work!
Number 5 – Know your worth!
There’s no way you’ll be able to live your dream if you don’t feel worthy. You are so special and when you know this you can really make some magic happen in your life.

UPDATE REGARDING MY TESTIMONY

I'm in a hurry right now,but it's been already some days that I wanted to let you know something regarding my testimony.The thing is that God gave me exactly what I asked for,but it's turning out to be like a trick (if that's the right word to use) to show me something.Yet I really don't know what it should show me!

It's not that I'd have expected a big turning point in my life after what I received,but I was just very happy about it all.However,I've to tell you that after I received what I asked for things didn't go very well.Not at all!Thus,I ask myself now...maybe God wanted to tell me that I should be careful what I ask for,because not me,but He knows what is best for me.I don't know,I'm just kind of thinking out loud right here...

Don't get me wrong,I'm happy and all,it's just that I feel a bit puzzled.All I can say,it's that I'll accept everything He gives me and I'll see what happens next.

Allah sure has His mysterious ways!

THE SPACE SHIP LANDED + SOME HEAVENLY INDULGENCES

In the last post I told you all excited and so happy that in December I'm going on the David Guetta's concert in Ljubljana,but what I forgot to mention (only due to the complete excitement of the moment) is that the concert will be held in the Stožice Sports Park Arena which was projected by the Sadar Vuga Arhitekti studio.Now,I know you might think:"O.K. girl,but who cares!",but maybe some of my older readers will remember that in one post I wrote about how much I'm fascinated by the work and the persona of Boštjan Vuga - one of the holders of the Sadar Vuga architectural studio.This arena was finished this year,so I really wished I could see it in person and I even thought I'll go to Ljubljana just to have a look at it and snap some pictures.Thus,I can say my dream will come true :)...not only will I go on the Guetta's concert,but I will see this arena,too.I'm really happy and yes...excited...but I think you've already undrestood that,haven't you :)!You know,I like the arena,but let's admit it...it looks a bit like a space ship :)... Oh yes we do my dears,because if there's one thing that I find very relaxing and anjoyable is going through fashion magazines while enjoying some of my favorite snacks ---> yes healthy food is definitely the best indulgence,but in my opinion there's no point in it if I can't give myself now and then a pleasure of a soda and some chips-alike snacks ;).
As you can see I got two magazines which have Jessica Alba on the cover (you know me :D!!!) and the famous In Style (here in German).Of course,I was very glad to find magazines with articles about Jessica Alba,but this time I was mostly happy that I was able to buy the In Style magazine.In fact,years ago,when I used to travel to Vienna quite often I also used to buy In Style whenever I would see it on the news stands.I find it such an inspirational magazine,as you can pick up some nice ideas for your own style and also get the latest news on what's in and out in fashion.
I bought the above In Style in a city near my village in Slovenia and believe me I couldn't have been more surprised when I saw it on a news stand in a shopping center that I like to visit every now and then.In the past I had been looking for it so many times,but I couldn't find it nor in Slovenia nor in Italy.Oh how I smiled when I finally saw it and there was I,one happy girl holding her magazine in her hands and remembering all the good times in Vienna...and so on and so forth...Because you know,magazines have the power of bringing nice memories back :)!

GOING THE DISTANCE

Last Saturday I went out to the cinema with two of my girlfriends and we saw Going the Distance directed by Nanette Burstein.I really wanted to see this movie,because when I discovered that it was about a relationship on a distance,I felt very close to the subject.In fact,in the past I had been in a very similar situation for good five years,so there was no doubt I would see this movie.All in all it was just an everage romantic movie,good for a fun relaxing night.However,it really does open important subjects that someone that considers such a relationship should seriously take in consideration.Because,believe me it is not easy!

The love in the movie is among Erin (Drew Barrymore) and Garrett (Justin Long) and they shuttle back and forth between New York and San Francisco in order to keep things alive and sparky.Oh yeah...imagine the money that goes for such a thing and the nerves that it takes,because you miss so much the loved one.You know,it can be done and all,but at one point you just have to decide whether you will move with your loved one or not.And,despite love and all this can be such a hard decision,especially if you come from different cultural backgrounds.I will not tell you what the couple in the movie decides to do :),but as far as I am concerned I can tell you that when it came to take the big decision in my case,I said no.It was not because of any cultural differences (those can be such fun if you decide to take the best of each culture and mix it into something new that belongs only to you and your loved one),but because I did not feel that the person I was with would be worth of me leaving my family,friends and country and just start a whole new life.I never regreted my decision,but I got a bit nostalgic while watching the movie.As much as it is difficult and you really spend a lot of money for the various travel tickets and phone bills,it can also be pretty exciting,because you travel a lot and you get to know many new places and people.Yes,it is all about how much you a prepared to leave everything back in your country and just go and live with that other person.I do not think that just being in love is enough...it takes a lot of courage,too.

Anyways,I would suggest you to watch this movie...also because Drew Barrymore plays really good in this movie.My friends said they did not like very much some sexy scenes in the movie and one of them said there were just to many f****** words in it...but you have to decide about that...I was not that bothered by it.As I said,just a nice movie for a nice evening :)!

I have been just thinking that I would so much like to write a post today,but for what I had in mind I do not have any pictures yet.Thus,after a brief thinking I decided I would like to post a kind of sneak peek into what I was about in regards with my hair styling.I think that this is the next step during one's hair journey.I just feel the need of enjoying my hair,so here and there I come up with a hair style which helps me go through a day feeling decent.I now have some favorite styles that I wear almost every day and I am soon going to share them with you.They are very simple hair styles,but they make me feel happy.

The above style is just a franch braid with its end tucked inside it with some bobby pins and I added a small flower...just like that,because I liked the idea of it.Anyway,the day I made this style I was at my parent's house and I was just relaxing,so I did not care about using any hairspray,hence the flyaways :)...but yeah for staying at home it was just fine.

He,he,he :D...I'm not h (oooopssss ;))/corny!!!But...this salad sure is :)!

This is a quick and easy recipe for a sweet corn salad which was given to me by a Serbian lady this summer.Goes on very well with grilled meat,but you can also enjoy it on its own with some bread - I suggest some whole grain bread as its stronger taste accompanies well the delicacy of this salad.

For 4 persons you need: 400-450g sweet corn,150-200g cheese (best if of a more delicate taste),200g of sour cream,juice of a half lemon,salt.

1. Cook the sweet corn in some water (I like to add some salt already in the water - but if you want you can add it only at the end).When the corn is cooked,take it out of the water and let it rest until completely cool.2. Cut the cheese in small pieces and squeeze out the juice of a half lemon.3. Put the cold corn,the cheese,the sour cream and the lemon juice in a bowl and stir well.4. Add salt per taste and stir again.You can serve the salad immediately,but I suggest you put it in a refrigerator for about 2 hours for all the flavors to amalgamate well.

Last Saturday I went out with some friends for a party - a kind of last summer party- and I enjoyed it so much...not only that,but I really needed to go out a bit and have fun,fun,fun :)...

For this occasion I decided I will treat myself with a hair style made by a hair stylist.I went to the same hair stylist that trimmed my hair in my "My hair journey 9" post...so it was in Slovenia...and the cost for the style was 35€.I really liked it and enjoyed it so much!

Unfortunately the pictures of the hair style and the whole look aren't very good.Something made me angry right before heading out,so I wasn't really paying any attention at how the pictures were taken,but luckily it didn't affect the rest of my night :)...

COCKTAIL "JAGODA"

My dears,I would like to apologize for not posting anything during the last month.As every summer,I was very busy working.Really,very busy...and I had to put some other projects on hold,too.I also have not forgotten that I promised to you that I will write more in detail about my pause from blogging during the first half of the year.I will do that as soon as possible!

Anyway,for this week (apart from today) I took off from work,as I'm so tired and I have to get back on track with some other things...Basically,I have to get back in a more established routine.

In this post I wanted to present you a very quick and easy recipe for a non-alcoholic cocktail that I like to prepare every summer - this is part of my work - but obviously it can be drunk all through the year.This drink is actually quite popular in Slovenia among children,but served in a nice crystal glass and with a snack in a form of dried fruits or some other sweet delicacies it can become a nice treat for adults,too.

You will need the ingredients (for one person) which are photographed in the first picture - from left to right - :

- a spoon of whipped cream (if you want you can add a little vanilla flavored sugar to it,but I don't as the juice I'm using to make this drink is already very sweet)

- a glass of cold thick strawberry juice (it won't work with nectar,as the consistency has to be thick to be able to hold the whipped cream)

- just a pinch of cinnamon

- some chocolate topping

Process:

- Mix well the cinnamon into a little juice and then add the rest of the juice.

- Top with the whipped cream and add a kiss ;) of chocolate on the cream.

- Serve with a tea spoon inside the glass and if you wish with some sweets on the side - I added a kind of small dried fruit pressed bars.

I feel good!After months...years of being in a limbo (as I said in my profile) I can finally say that I know what I really want from life.It is strange,because I thought that when the revelation will come I will feel crazy and will jump all around from happiness,but no nothing like that!I just feel so content and free.Actually,at times I would just stop and ask myself if it all is real.It is real!
You know all my life I have never ever had a clear vision of where would I see me as an old lady...I mean at what would I look back as an old lady :).Now,I know and I have such a clear vision of how I want to be and of what I want to achieve in my life.This is the best gift I could ever get and I will treasure it so dear...it is my life,my thing,myself.
And...yesterday I told a person about it all and this person said I should not tell anyone!I like the idea of keeping it to me,sacred in my heart.I want to mold it all just to my taste :)!
I now what is my purpose in this life and I thank God so much for it.
So what now?Now...work hard to get it...INSHALLAH!!!

It was a certain moment,a fraction of a moment and than it clicked to me.Just like this...as if I would have never struggled before.

My hair on the 20.7.2010!

Shampoo Phytocyane (thinning hair - woman) by Phyto!

Cost:15.29 €!

My hair,my love!Yet this love takes a lot of time,dedicated care and patience.However,I can finally say that my hair has really improved.My greasy dandruff is kept well under control (even though I have to accept that I will always have a tendency toward it - now and then it keeps coming back,especially during the time around my period) and most importantly I have much less shedding than ever before.Unfortunately,I can not say that I do not experience shedding anymore,but only the fact that I have much less of it gives me extreme courage to continue this difficult and very tearing battle.When one has had severe shedding as I did,every even so little improvement of such a condition is a blessing for one's heart and nerves.

For the last five months I have been using mostly the above shampoo by Phyto.I discovered about this hair care line on YouTube and even though I was quite skeptical about finding it in Slovenia or Italy,I can now say that it can be easily found in both countries - but only in the pharmacy shops.It is not a cheap line,but for the above shampoo I can with all honesty say that it is the best shampoo I have ever used and I am sure that my shedding has become less due to it.In fact,I could notice a significant improvement in my shedding condition only after I started to use this shampoo!This sure makes me want to try other products of the Phyto line...

But,there is one thing that needs to be said about this shampoo - it is in no way an everage shampoo that you would just lather on your hair and than wash it away.No,you really,really need to leave it on your hair for some minutes to work!!!I usually leave it on my hair for up to 10-15 minutes.I than wrap a towel around my neck so that I do not get all wet from the dripping water mixed with the shampoo - this part can get pretty annoying,but believe me the result at the end is worth it.My hair and scalp are so clean after I use this shampoo.Plus the shine effect is really evident and my hair feels thicker.

So...my hair care routine during the last five months was very simple:

washing my hair two to three times a week with Phytocyane Shampoo by Phyto
after washing I used either the hair care mask Gliss Oil Nutritive Hair Repair Cream by Testanera/Schwarzkopf or the conditioner Splend'Or Cocco
I applied Gliss Oil Nutritive Anti Split Ends Hair Fluid by Testanera/Schwarzkopf on my wet hair as my leave-in conditioner
I air-dried my hair

I talked about the products mentioned in points 2 and 3 in my "My hair journey 8" post. Sometimes when I was in a hurry I would use just a 2&1 shampoo + Gliss Oil Nutritive Anti Split Ends Hair Fluid by Schwarzkopf.This is part of my experiment where I try to find a good 2&1 shampoo - but about this and my styling products I will talk in my next hair journey posts.

Reminder: I will end my hair journey only when my hair will reach the line under my breast - thus I hope till then you will stick with me :o)...I send you all my love and I wish you beautiful hair!

During the last four months I didn't take one single picture of my hair (I don't know why) and so today I thought I'll post the above picture which was randomly taken by a friend of mine during a night out.Yes,the girl with the shoulders shamelessly out it's me.I know exactly that this picture isn't the best one and that it doesn't tell much about my hair,but it's at least something.Yeah...

However,my friends and I are sitting at a terrace in front of a hotel in my village in Slovenia.We had a really good time that night and after a long time I was together with a larger group of my friends,so that we could catch up a bit on eachother lives and just relax.

I absolutely have to tell you about the new shampoo I've been using for the last three months...but next time...trust me :o),please!!!

I just wanted to say that my next post will be on my hair journey.I planned to write it today,but I didn't feel very good and so I wasn't really in the mood of writing.Tomorrow and on Saturday I'll have to work quite long and again I will not manage to write,but I'll do it either on Sunday or Monday.All of this just to tell you that I'm definitely back :o),but I need to get back in the rhythm of writing.

Yay :DDD!!!Finally I went to a hairdresser :D!I went to a male hairdresser in my village in Slovenia,who has a fancy hair salon and uses only good natural products.In his salon you have to take an appointment and then you're alone there with him.He dedicates you all his time and knowledge making the hairdressing a real pleasure.I told him my problems and fears and he was so nice with me.He also said that he can see that I'm taking good care of my hair and that my ends are not split.That was the biggest compliment for me.My dear Allah,I was one happy kid =)!As soon as I came home and after my mother took a picture of my hair,I decided to make the above video.I know,it's not the best video ever,but I decided to leave it just like that,because I wanted to share with you my genuine excitement.Unfortunately only a bit of it was uploaded,but I was saying that even though my hair journey was due to end on the 27th of February 2010,I still want to continue it.My dandruff is gone,but my shedding continues,so my journey has to continue,too.But,I have a new force now and I'm ready for the challenge!Next date is the

1st of July 2010 and by then I really hope I'll be finished and happy with it.As far as the lenght of my hair is concerned,I'd like it to be till beneath my breast line.I don't know if I'll reach that by July,but only at this lenght I'll be completely happy.

You know...I had a bit of celebration today and now is almost three o'clock in the morning,so I can't think properly anymore and I really need to go to sleep :)...but I just wanted to share my experience with you...and I also wanted to thank you for your kind support.Thank you my dear girls and I send you all my love!!!

VALENTINE'S DAY

Jessica Alba and Ashton Kutcher in Valentine's Day

Today I saw the Valentine's Day movie.I was so eager to see it,because Jessica Alba is playing in it,too.I really was so excited about that :)!!!Unfortunately,she plays just a minor role,which makes me wonder when will she finally make that big movie that will launch her as a big Hollywood star.She's done some movies in the past years,but nothing too exciting.Anyway,I was truly happy to see her at least in this movie.

The movie is nice you know...only today I just wasn't in the right mindset for a love comedy.I was a little nervous,because before going out I had a small fight with my father.That ruined what was meant to be a relaxing evening with my bestie.I mean,we had a fine evening,but I just was with my thoughts elsewhere.Thus I hope that for the next movie I'll have more fun!

Anyway,the movie was directed by Garry Marshall and it has a cast with huge names like Julia Roberts,Jamie Foxx,Shirley MacLaine and many more.I thought that all those big names will just overshadow a bad movie,but it isn't like that.It turned out to be a nice movie where there are presented many different kinds of love from a teenage one,through the one of a mother for a son,to a love between an old married couple.

There are many ways of loving or being in love,so I'd say even though we might not have a partner,there's always someone to love and cherish.Like our fathers,even though they might sometimes bring us into bad mood.

A TINNY TINY MOMENT OF PLEASURE

I'm just about taking a shower and I thought I'll share with you the trio that makes lately my showers a pure moment of pleasure.

Usually,I buy a Palmolive shower gel and I like almost all of them,but the Cherry Blossom one has just to be my favorite.I love its scent!It claims to be calming and I think it really is.Hmmm...love it!

The body lotion I'm using lately is just a simple old Dove,but it really makes my skin so super soft.The one I've got is for dry skin and so it's perfect for my skin.This winter I was using manly extra virgin coconut oil as a moisturizer for my body,but it started to be a little too expensive.Since I'm using extra virgin coconut oil also for my hair I had to rebuy it very often.Now I use it only for my hair and on special occasions for my body.Anyway,the Dove body lotion works really well as it locks the moisture in my skin.

Last but not least,as a deodorant I use a classic Dove one.I like it mostly because it smells the same as the body lotion and I just love this smell of simple cream.It reminds me of my childhood...and I don't even know why :)!

The shower gel and the deodorant were under 4€,but I don't know how much the body lotion was,as it was given to me as a present.

I really would like to know what kind of shower gel,body lotion and deodorant you're using.New ideas are always welcome :)!

MY HAIR JOURNEY 8

My hair pulled back in a messy bun.I wear my hair like this when I'm at home,as it's an extremely easy style which can be quickly done or undone :o).

In one of my previous -My hair journey- posts I showed you this kind of pins...and I'm showing it again to you...as I think they're very practical...and they hold the hair in it's place.

I think buying a set of such pins is a good investment,but be careful to choose quality ones as they tend to break easily.They are very cheap...one costs around 1€...I can't even remember.These ones are from a brand named -elite- which specializes in hair accessories and tools.However,though very practical I wouldn't use them to go out :o) ...not very elegant ;o)!

Here are the shampoos I've been using lately,but before that I'd like to tell you about my visit to the dermatologist which I did yesterday.To be scheduled for a visit as quickly as possible I decided for the possibility of paying for it and that costed me 60€ which is of course quite pricey.I went to a dermatologist in Slovenia.There are only two dermatologists near my village and I chose to go to a lady which opened a new studio very recently.It's a nice studio,but they seemed to me very snobby.Maybe because they perform there also minor aesthetic operations,so they feel more important ;).Anyways,the doctor was O.K.,but for 60€ I'd expect a longer visit.I was done in 15 minutes;of which she spent 5 minutes writing on a computer a sort of document about the visit.After looking through my scalp (I can't even tell you how embarrassed I felt) she said that I still have some minor oily dandruff,but that it's really not bad.She also asured me that I don't have any signs of baldness.As my blood tests were very good and I don't have any other physical pain or disorder,she could only conclude that my shedding is due to stress.Which might well be true,as I'm under a lot of stress.Then she siad that it's normal to lose up to 120 hair a day and that I should start counting it,and that she's sure that I don't lose so much hair and that the actual counting will calm me down.Boh...I'll see about that!However,she strongly adviced me to finally go to a hairdresser,becauses hair needs a restoring cut after it's been only growing for several months.She added that not cutting the hair for too long stresses it too much.Thus,my dears next week I've to go to a hair salon and be bold :D about it!I only hope the hairdresser will not make fun of me,as my shedding is at its worse when I wash my hair.

The doctor prescribed me also a medical lotion for my hair,but I'll go and take this one on Monday so I'll tell you more next time.She said to start using omega3 fat supplements,too.

Onto the shampoos ;o):

- Head & Shoulders Citrus Fresh for greasy hair : It's a very strong shampoo,almost like a medicine.I could feel how it was cleaning my scalp and I had a tingling feeling to it.Though it makes the hair a bit too dry!It contains Zinc Pyrithione which slows down the production of yeast - cause of dandruff.It costed under 4€.As it's so strong,I alternated it with a very mild shampoo...or so I thought ;/ :

- Johnson's Baby Shampoo : all I can say is that if I had a child,I wouldn't wash it's hair with it!It made my scalp very itchy...and if it's not good for me,it wouldn't be good for my child either.I'll not rebuy it and I'll use the remains of it to wash something else.It costed under 3€.

- Ultra Dolce Shampoo by Garnier : There are many variations of Ultra Dolce Shampoos!This one is with chamomile and honey.Ultra Dolce means Ultra Sweet :) and as far as I'm concerned it's true.Its foam is so soft and it gives you a nice calming feeling on the scalp.It contains Salicylic Acid which helps your scalp to get rid of skin cells,but it doesn't slow down the production of them (an increased production of skin cells is the main cause of dandruff).My scalp was very clean after I washed my hair with it.Plus my hair was quite soft :).The cost is under 5€.

To condition my hair I used this all Italian conditioner from Splend'Or with coconut oil which is so super cheap (I found it for 1€) and so good.I knew for this conditioner,but I never thought much about it,because it's so cheap and always on the bottom shelves of any supermarket :).Yet I noticed that on the Italian YouTube beauty channels it's so popular...to my great surprise.Thus I bought it and I enjoyed it since.It really makes your hair very soft!The only thing that I might not find very good,it's its consistency,which is quite liquidy for a conditioner.Because of that I find it a little bit difficult to make it stay on my hair...it drops easily away...so I've to apply it more...But,that makes it on another hand a very good conditioner for co-washes.It makes my delicate scalp clean and calms down any possible irritations.I'll definitely rebuy it and make it a staple hair product of mine.It would also make a nice present to bring back home if you go to Italy :)!

And...here are my saviors...the ones that made it possible for me not to go to the hairdresser for so long.
Testanera/Schwarzkopf Gliss Oil Nutritive Hair Repair Cream for long hair with split ends : For the last month or so I used only this after the shampoo,prefering the Splend'Or conditioner for co-washes.Even though the Splend'Or conditioner is so good,it just wouldn't be enough for my tired hair.The Gliss Cream is very thick and it smells so nice.It conteins argan oil and shea butter.Its consistency is almost buttery and on my fingers I could feel a sort of greasiness.This cream stays on your hair and it doesn't drop one bit.After the first use I was very surprised,because my hair was despite the thick and fat cosistecy of the cream a bit difficult to detengle when I rinsed it off.But,when my hair was dry I really could see how smooth and nurished it was.Thumbs up for this hair cream :)!It costs 7.30€.
Schawrzkopf Gliss Oil Nutritive Anti Split Ends Hair Fluid : This fluid is meant to be used only on the ends,but I use it on the whole lenght of my hair.I use it as if it would be a normal leave-in conditioner.Only a few drops go a long way and all I can say is...wow,it really makes your hair look healthier.Being from the same line as the hair cream it,too contains argan oil and shea butter.I bought in Slovenia for around 5€.

Here is what I'd like to call a December product!In December I finished my leave-in conditioner and so I had to buy a new one.At first I wanted to buy the above fluid which has been on my list for some time,but in Italy it costed more than 8€ and so,in the month of December when I really had to look after every penny because of the festivities and other important expenses that I have every year in this month,I just couldn't buy it.Then in an Italian chain of drugstores called Aqua & Sapone I found this little treasure : Noah Restructuring Serum with linen oil and Ylang Ylang.It promised to be an all natural product (more or less,since it contains some preservatives ;) ) and it costed only 4.50€,so I thought - up you go in my shopping bag :D! To my great pleasure I discovered it to be a very good product.To be used on the whole lenght of ones hair and insisting on the ends,it makes the hair very shiny and if I may say so...it makes your hair "work".You see,the first and the second time I used it (you use it as a leave in conditioner) my hair felt strange...almost like in shock :D...it just wouldn't stay in place and it was a bit too dry.But,then came the revelation...after the third use my hair really became nice and almost thicker I'd say.Its wonderful smell of YlanYlang makes it almost into a kind of "parfum" for the hair =).YlangYlang is known for its aphrodisiac properties,so my dear ladies beware of that :D... Later on I did some researches on the net and discovered that this Noah brand ain't that unknown in Italy and actually quite appreciated.I'll rebuy this product for sure!I still have some left in the little bottle and I might use it this evening when I'll go out with my home girls :).I also want to use this serum during the summer,as a quick yet effective cure for the hair tired of the sun or sea salt.Or...just as a hiar "parfum" to complete a great summer look :)!

Before I shampoo and condition my hair I still use coconut oil as a pre-shampoo treatment and I always enjoy it very much.My scalp says always "thank you" after I used it and my hair is so fluffy and healthy afterwards.This...only for a day...after that it strats screaming:Hairdresser,hairdresser,hairdresser... :o) ...

Lauren Conrad (The Hills - aired on MTV) and Whitney Port hugging before Whitney went to New York and started her own show The City (aired on MTV) which I looooveeee ;)!

Sooo...I went to the doctor!!!She was very nice and said that it's not stupid that I came just because of the hair.Since I don't have any other specific symptoms she gave me quite a lot of chek-ups to do.Thus tomorrow morning I've to go to a city near my village and try to do some of them,and then I've to go to Italy to work.That's going to be one stressful thing!Then on Friday I'll be able to go to the dermatologist with more calm.I'm a little more motivated now that my problem is out.

You know something nice happened...I met one of my homegirls by the doctor.It's so super rare that we'd meet during the week,and even though we didn't meet in very happy circumstances we were really very glad that we could see eachother.After the visit by the doctor we went for a drink in a bar in my village...and there happened another nice thing...I met another friend whom I haven't seen for at least ten years.Oh...I couldn't believe it!We huged and kissed...and I introduced her to my homegirl...and we all giggled just like that...and huged and kissed again...and said that we HAVE to meet...and I know we WILL...very soon.

I hope all goes well...(for my homegirl,too).

Tomorrow is the Grand Magal - the biggest Mourid festivity of the year :).I'm happy because of that.

Today I went to the doctor,but I only could take an appointment.It's for next Tuesday afternoon.I wonder what she'll say :/!Anyways,I haven't been to the hairdresser yet.I just don't have the courage to go.
At the moment I'm using a very good "cream" for my ends which I apply every day either on wet or dry hair.But,despite that I'll be needing a cut very soon.
I tell you,my hair makes me sad.

MY HAIR JOURNEY 5

It's been a great while since I wrote a post about my hair journey.The reason for this is quite dramatic.At least for me!The fact is that I'm extremly shedding and I don't know why.It's been like this since last December and three weeks ago I got so frustrated that I left my routine completely aside and thought to myself:"I'm fed up with everythig and I don't want to care anymore!

However,I calmed down and I'm of course back at taking very good care of my hair.Yet this shedding is worrying me so much that I don't have any will for writing about some new products I bought.I can see only the shedding and it's killing me!

Now,I need to get my ends trimmed and I'd so much like to go to a hairdresser,but I don't have the courage.I'm so ashamed of my shedding!Last time my mother cut my hair and I was very pleased with it,but now I'd so much like to visit a hair salon.You know how we women are,we want to get pampered once in a while!

I really,really hope I'll find the courage to go to a hairdresser this week.

Plus it's about time that I visit a doctor for this problem.I'll do this next Monday,because I've to be in Italy until Friday.But,I'm scared,very scared and so ashamed.

Mah...I'll be back next Tuesday to update on this.

HAITI - THE ISLAND OF HOPE

My beloved Nunaa from the A woman's world blog (listed in my sidebar) uploaded the above video on her YouTube channel (the link is on her blog) and asked everyone who would see it to share it around.I saw it yesterday early in the morning,but I can share it only now,due to some problems with my pc.As everyone else,I heared the news of the devastating earthquake and it took me so deeply.

Last year in April an earthquake in the italian city of L'Aquila in the region of Abruzzo took so many victims and did a horrible damage,and when I heared of Haiti all I could think of was:"Oh no,not again!"

I'm angry you know,at the whole universe and at Him ,too.Yes,I am and please forgive me if I say so.Such things are so injust!

Nunaa asks everyone to pray,but I can not and I told her so.Yet she said I should come out of this anger and that God can take it.But,I can not.At least not for now.I am in hope that every single person who got hurt by this earthquake will find proper help and peace.

My father,with his pure heart,reminds me every single day to watch the news and give the people of Haiti the consideration they deserve.And he also said:"Every time you make your fantasies about high fashion and so on and on...N. stop and hope those people will get some shelter,food and clothes.Here,my dear we are lucky.Respect the people of Haiti with your behaviour and words!"

So,my dear Nunaa I am taking a minute and more.Please,let us all do so.Thank you!

For the New Year's Eve I went out with two of my homegirls.The third one couldn't come and we missed her so much.Maybe we'll be all together next year.We went to a very nice village on the Slovene coast where we had a very delicious traditional dinner at a local restaurant.In the picture above you can see the fish soup we had - served in a bread bowl.Seriously,the food was amazing!We were at the restaurant till midnight and there we wished eachother all the best.Oh,but the funny thing was that some Italian boys (a whole bunch) came to us and wished us a happy New Year by saying: Auguri signorine :)!That means "All the best Misses!" and we thought...oh that's nice that somebody still calls us Miss at the age of 35 :)!That made our night :D!After that all the people in the restaurant wished eachother the best for this year and the atmosphere was so merry =)!

We finished the night with a walk through the village and we stopped in a bar and a tent with music.I really enjoyed it with my girlfriends!I'm only sorry I can't post pictures of them,to show you how beautiful they looked.Real ladies :)!

I am now with my parents and we have just opend our presents.That is always such fun :)!In my family,it is very important for my mother that we are together for Christmas and that we exchange presents.It is a tradition we have always had and it is a good occasion to be with your family and friends.With this day also starts the last week of the year and during it I like to take some time for myself,and think about all that happened in the previous months.These are days of introspection and great hopes for the future ;)!

Usually I am the one to go shopping for our loved ones,as my parents do not have patience for it :).This year I had to do it at a very last minute,because before that I was sick with a terrible cold.However,since I am following some very good blogs and YouTube channels about beauty and shopping advices it was very easy to choose nice and affordable presents.I enjoy walking through the shops and think about all the people I love and I always hope that they will like what I will get them.But,most of all I want to be positive and forget arguments and bad moments.All I want to remember are those warm smiles on a random day when you look in the other person's eyes and you think:"Yes,they know me and with them I am at home!"

This is the present I received from my parents.Every year they give me money,but this time I said:"Ohlala...please no money this year eh... :) ...go out and find a present for you daughter ;)!"

But...my mother is great with wrapping up and decorating =) !

So...they got me a pair of slippers...he,he,he...but only because I told them I would need it :D!Oh...they are terrible with these things :D!
However,I like them and they are in pink,my favorite color.

QUESTION

Assalamu alaikum to every muslim woman or man!Today I come to you with a question and I hope you can help me find the answer.Your help would be very much appreciated :)!

Obviously I tried to find the answer myself,but with no result.Thus I thought you might know more about it.

There are actually two questions I have:

1.) Is it allowed in Islam to drink an alcohol based drink or medicne for an exclusively curative purpose?

(Let me explain to you... In a book of natural remedies for different diseases written by a Slovene Reverend Father Simon Ašič I found a remedy against the pain in the throat which consists of drinking about 2-3 spoons of honey brandy.The Reverend Father suggests to give it to a patient with severe throat pains,but to be extremly careful not to exaggerate with it,so that the patient does not start craving alcohol.I myself did not want to try it,because there are many other non-alcoholic :) remedies that he suggests against the pain in the throat,but I was somehow intrigued by it and it made me wonder if that would be allowed in Islam.)

2.) Is it allowed to use alcohol on your skin for curative purposes?

(I think that should not be a problem,but maybe I am wrong.Let me explain this one,too... On a Slovene internet forum I found a recipe for a hair mask against shedding which includes a spoon of rum.The reviews about the mask were extremly good and so I wanted to try it,and then write about it in one of my "My hair journey" posts.At first I did not think there would be any problem with it,but one girl said that she put a little too much rum in the mask and that afterwards she felt a bit dizzy from the smell.Thus,boh...I don't know : o !)

I hope somebody can help me on this one :).Thank you!

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (1996-1999)

A few years ago while skimming through a high fashion magazine an interview with a successful Spanish model and actress Inés Sastre excited my curiosity.I knew of her from the Lancome ads and from the Italian television where she co-hosted the Italian Music "Festival di Sanremo" .She seems very nice and intelligent,so I was quite eager to know what she had to say.The interview turned out to be a very interesting read and since I also enjoyed very much the pictures in it,I ripped that page out of the magazine,folded it up and put it in my diary.Anyhow,I still have it!In the meanwhile I changed several diaries,but I somehow always made sure that this read would find its place among the pages of one of it.Just like that,with no particular reason.

However,whenever I would unfold it and read it again - maybe out of pure boredom on a train - I would with no exception stop thoughtfully at the last question of what would she go out and buy today,if money were no option.She answered: "A drawing by Schiele" . (Just as a reminder: Egon Schiele is an Austrian painter and an early exponent of the Expressionism - a cultural movement at the beginning of the 2oth-century.)

This question has always been very interesting to me,because it implies something that is a pure object of desire.Something that you would go and buy,when you would already have everything you need and more.Like your own house (I guess in this case a very fancy one),your super modern car and a lifetime high economic security for yourself and yor family.

I must admit that up until today I never knew what would be mine so called unique and special object of desire.Yes,I would find myself dreaming of that house and that car and so on and on,but the thing is that with this question is meant a state of pure economic wellbeing,where money is not an issue anymore.That would be a state beyond dreams!Thus the question becomes,what would you dream of,when you would reach a place far beyond your dreams?

As strange as it might seem,today,out of nothing,that special desire came and it instantly catapulted me in that very land far beyond dreams.I would go out to the Slovene architect Boštjan Vuga,show him a picture of an old house that my father inherited from his family and say: "Renovate it per your sole way" .This would be it!

Boštjan Vuga is in my opinion an artist and a great scholar.I first saw him on TV about two years ago and was astonished by his wisdom,humility and elegance.To my great pleasure this year he started to write his own page in a Slovene magazine about high fashion,style and design.This magazine comes monthly as a separate section of a daily newspaper that my parents read and I always make sure that they save it for me.Then I would read his page only in a moment of complete tranquillity.It is such a pleasure to discover the world through his eyes.He travels a lot and always introduces the readers with unexpectedly interesting buildings.Buildings that would be just mere architectural inventions to the everage reader,but that after his explanations become something uniquely beautiful.

The above picture represents The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (1996-1999) in our capital Lubiana.It was made by his and Jurij Sadar's architectural studio "Sadar Vuga Arhitekti".I find it so amazing,as I find amazing all of their creations.

But it is for those who fear their Lord, that lofty mansions, one above another, have been built: beneath them flow rivers (of delight): (such is) the Promise of Allah: never doth Allah fail in (His) promise.

Today I wanted to write about something more demanding,but I did not have time to prepare for it.I have so much to study.

However,I would like to share with you a simple,quick,yet very delicious recipe.Not having anyone to celebrate Eid with,I felt a little bit sad.Despite that I decided to make something more special to have with my coffee this afternoon.Thus,I ended up making filled dates!I found this recipe among others of Suor Germana,an Italian nun,who wrote vorious excellent cooking books.Whenever I make one of her recipes it is always a success.Today's one was not an exception :) and so I could have a bit of a celebration :),too.

FILLED DATES

Serves 4: 18 dates,candied oranges (I used pieces of dried pineapple and papaya,which I diced into very small pieces) 20g,ricotta cheese 100g,granulated sugar (mine was with a bit of vanilla aroma) 40g,a pinch of cinnamon,paper cases for sweets or small paper serviettes.

The ingredients in the above picture aren't measured.I just relied on my instinct :o)!

Gently cut through the lenght of the dates and take the pits out.Mix the candied oranges (or dried pineapple and papaya :) ) with the ricotta cheese and just a pinch of cinnamon.

Fill the dates with the ricotta cream and put them in the paper cases.Sprinkle with the granulated sugar and serve.I didn't serve them immediately,but I put them for about an hour in the refrigerator.I just thought this will help all the flavours to amalgamate well.

I SLIPPED ON SOME BUTTER ;)!

My breakfast today was inspired by the movie Julie & Julia of which I wrote in my previous post.The movie itself is a celebration of the butter and of how it makes everything taste even better .Thus this morning I decided to make some butter & garlic bread that I adore.

Simple ingredients for a delicious bread: BUTTER :) (per taste),minced garlic (per taste),slices of toast bread.

Take a pan and on a low temperature melt the butter.Be careful that it doesn't turn brown.When melted put in the bread slices and bake them on both sides till light brown.The bread should be soaked in butter ;)!

Put some garlic on the bread and voilà :)!To complete the breakfast I added a boiled egg (there's a funny story regarding eggs in the movie,too :) ),some apple slices and a cup of earl-grey tea.

I read somewhere that garlic is a natural antibiotic,so in this season of flu it might do us some good :).

On a different note,but still inspired by yesterday's evening,is this quick post.

These are the shoes I wore yesterday.They are by Guess and the only really fancy shoes that I have.There is a pair of fancy sandals I have,but I am sure these shoes costed much more.They were given to me by my mother with the words:"Take them,they're killing me!"

I was so happy about this unexpected present and I treasured them like gold.They are one size bigger than mine,but I thought I will manage somehow.That sure wasn't going to stop me from wearing these cuties :)!

Finally,last evening I wore them for the first time.I was so excited!Yet soon a disappointment followed!They were so unconfortable.Yes,they were killing me,too :D!

This morning I told my parents about it and my father made fun of me,because I thought that a high brand means automatic comfort.I GUESS it's not like that!In fact,I have much humbler high heels which are by far more comfortable.

But,will I wear them again?After all I think I will,because I find them so cute *-*!What can I do,I feel like a star in them.An uncomfortable star,but still a star :D!

My dear blogging girls :),I've just come home from a nice evening out with my homegirls.We're four babes,let me tell you this :D!There were long talks there,laughing,some delicious cakes with tea and one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen.We saw Julie & Julia by Nora Ephron.I wanted to see this movie,but I didn't expect I'd end up liking it so much.It's based on two true stories.Julia (Meryl Streep) was a very famous american cook who,together with two other friends,wrote the cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking and had several cooking TV shows in the sixties.Julie (Amy Adams) is a young woman who has just turned thirty and not really satisfied with herself.Until she decides to dedicate herself more seriously to her passion - cooking!What's more,she decides to prepare all the recipes from Julia's book in 365 days and to blog about them.The success on so many levels follows rapidly for her!Both women have very supportive husbands,too.That makes it all so romantic!

The stories of both women and their time are displayed in a parallel way between the modern Queens and the post World War II Paris.I found this so charming and something different.

I think everyone who loves to cook should see this movie.All through the movie I thought about the two cooking blogs I like to follow so much - Sousoukitchen and Health Nut (both are listed in my sidebar).I got so much respect for their work.Good,quality cooking and writing about it takes really a lot of dedication and time!

However,I think this movie could be also interesting for everyone who blogs.In fact through Julie's blogging it shows how much work stands behind a blog.Especially behind blogs that are thematic,like the cooking or fashion ones.I also find that the movie shows very well how writing can make a person happier and more in touch with herself.It sure does make me more happy :)!

I'd say you go and see this movie,and make it a time of celebration of your cooking,blogging or whatever your passion is.Bon appetit ;)!

MY HAIR JOURNEY 4

Looking back at my "MY HAIR JOURNEY" posts 2 and 3 (for references -> label "my hair journey" in the side bar) one can see that I entrusted the care of my hair pretty much to the Garnier Fructis family :).When I finished my conditioner,I took the above Garnier Fructis Fortifying Mask - Nutri Repair and used it after I washed my hair with my shampoo.By saying "took it",I really mean it :D,because I took it from my mom.I saw that she wasn't using it anymore,because she bought another one,also from Garnier Fructis,for colored hair.So,lucky me, this time I got a product for free :D!Thus,I don't know the cost of it,but I guess it should be way below 10€.

I must say that I was positively surprised by this hair mask.O.K.,it's not the product of my dreams,but it's definitely a good product.On the jar it's written that it works in only 1 minute and I think it really does.It won't hurt you if you leave it on your hair for a longer period,but if you're in a rush and you wish for a quick fix for your dull and damaged hair,this is the product for you.It's consistency is very thick and so when you put it on your hair it doesn't drip away,but it stays there and does its job :).After using it my hair was really smooth and soft,though I've to say that after two days it was quite weighed down.However,this might be due to the fact that at the end of my washing + conditioning I still used my Ghul leave-in hair moisturizer to protect my ends.But,for that one day my hair looked so nice!Anyway,at the question if I'd buy it again I'd answer with a simple "maybe".There must be other similar products on the market and why not try them ;). Oh yes...I used this mask only on my hair and not on my scalp.Usually I left it on my hair for 5 minutes,but also only for 1 minute if I was really in a hurry.

Onto another story!When I finally finished all of my Garnier Fructis products and was left only with my Ghul leave-in hair moisturizer,I decided to have a little break from the usual hair care routine (mostly oriented to fight dandruff) and try something new.After all,my dandruff was less than at the beginning of my hair journey and kept under control.The only thing that wouldn't change is my co-washing routine and it's bottle of Garnier Fructis conditioner for greasy scalp and dry ends.Thus I bought another one of that.Anyway,I just would like to add that even though I wrote before that after co-washing I don't need a leave-in hair moisturizer,now when it's much colder outside,I think my ends need some.In all the wind that's around here my ends get dry quite fast,so some extra care does them only good.One should always listen to his hair ;)!

Before buying any other anti-dandruff shampoo and a new conditioner,I decided to try out a 2 in 1 shampoo (shampoo + conditioner in one product).I ended up buying the Herbal Essences 2 in 1 shampoo for normal and unshiny hair.It costs under 5 €.I couldn't resist its wonderful smell (a berry-orange flower-tea mix made in heaven) and of course the Herbal Essences mania that is now going on on YouTube :).

Taking in consideration that this shampoo is for normal hair,and my isn't (dandruff,oily scalp,dry hair),I still have to say that it ended up in being a complete disaster. I washed my hair with it and afterwards I put some leave-in hair moisturizer on my ends,and I air-dryed. After only a few hours I started to feel extremly itchy on my scalp and during the night it got so bad that I couldn't even sleep.I was devastated,not only because I discovered that this shampoo doesn't work for me,but mostly because my scalp and hair weren't healthy enough to take that one wash with a maybe not that good shampoo.There I was,at 5 o'clock in the morning,in my bad,almost crying out of sadness and in a hasty search of a solution!Thus,I remebered that I've just recently bought a jar of organic virgin coconut oil and even though I'd just use it as a body moisturizer,I decided to try it out on my scalp and hair.I've seen so many girls on YouTube talking of it as a miracle for their hair.For me it sure was a miracle as a body moisturizer!It really was,beacause after using it my skin felt so soft and toned that it was an enjoyment to look at it :).

Here is what I did - at 5 o'clock in the morning :D -: 1.)Soaked my scalp and hair with coconut oil.I put it on my scalp because cocnut oil it's supposed to help against dandruff.I went back to sleep. 2.)When I woke up I washed again my hair with the Herbal Essences 2 in 1 shampoo.Yes,I did so!I wanted to give it a second chance!And...it was O.K..At the end I put on my ends also the Ghul leave-in hair moisturizer.

The coconut oil really soothed my irritated scalp and made my hair very shiny.Though,I've to say that it wasn't that of a miracle as it was for my body.I'll absolutely use it again and again for my body,but I might want to try some other oils for my hair.

At the moment I use this combination to wash my hair.It works good.The cocnut oil makes this shampoo a good one and I'm happy I don't have to throw away a product.In my opinion the only really positive thing about this shampoo is the smell.It's so addictive and it persists for two to three days :)!

My hair routine now is:

1.)Soaking my scalp and hair in coconut oil and leave it in for some hours.

2.)Washing my hair with the Herbal Essences 2 in 1 shampoo.

3.)Put some Guhl leave-in hair moisturizer on my ends.I repeat this during the days if necessary.

4.)I air-dry my hair.

5.)Co-washing once in between two shampoos.

Will I buy again a 2 in 1 shampoo?Again,I've to answer with a "maybe".I definitely want a shampoo with which I can just wash my hair and go!Something that will work if I really am in a rush and will not disappoint as a quick emergency in between my hair routine.Maybe if I hear of a good 2 in 1 shampoo I'll get one again.Do you have any suggestions?

MY HAIR JOURNEY 3

When I thought about what to write for my "my hair journey 3" post,I had something different in my mind.Instead I decided to write about an amazing discovery I made last week.That is co-washing!

Maybe you do not know what that means,but do not worry.I myself did absolutely not know what that means until I had done some researches on the net.That means to condition-wash your hair.To wash your hair only with conditioner.

I saw many videos on YouTube where women would talk about it or show how they do it and I could not have been more surprised.Not only because I have never heard about this method of washing your hair,but mostly because I thought that it is impossible to get your hair clean in this way.Anyway,it made me quite curious and in the end I decided to try it out. After all,if I was not going to be glad with the results,I still could just wash and condition my hair as I normally do.First things first,I went to a drugstore to buy a new conditioner.I thought that this occasion deserves a new product :)!Yeah,every excuse is right!

When I was in the drugstore (this time in Slovenia - this is why on the bottle of the conditioner it is written in German,because in Slovenia many cosmetic products are imported from Germany or Austria) in front of all the possible conditioners I really did not know which one to choose.I stood there for a very long time and many thoughts were going through my mind.The main was - what if washing my hair only with a conditioner makes it very greasy and weighs it down?Thus I ended up by choosing the Garnier Fructis conditioner for greasy scalp (since I have the greasy type of dandruff) and dry ends (which also happens to be my problem).Only Allah knows how excited I was and skeptical at the same time to finally wash my hair only with a conditioner.I did it the same evening and let me tell you out loud that I was amazed by it.Amazed :)!!!

Here is how I did it:

1.)I rinsed throughly my hair under the water.

2.)I applied a good amount of the conditioner on my scalp and rubbed it softly in.I continued then on the whole lenght of my hair by applying more conditioner,but I was careful not to stress it too much - just gently pressing on it.

3.)I rinsed the conditioner throughly out of my hair and then washed my hair again with the conditioner.(So to say - I washed my hair with the conditioner twice).

4.)I air dried my hair.

If you look at my - hair journey 2 - you will see that usually after I wash and condition my hair I apply also a leave-in moisturizer on my ends,but after co-washing it was not necessary,as my ends were very soft.

Positive results were:

1.)Scalp and hair clean and so smoothly soft :)!My hair looked so healthy at least for one day.The second day the dandruff was there again,even though not as much as before - but this is yet another story...

2.)My hair had a much better hold and I did not need any hair spray for keeping my hair styles in place.Maybe just a little bit!

3.)My hair was clean for four days - which is longer than when I wash and condition my hair.Choosing a conditioner for greasy hair was a good idea :)!

4.)You feel very relaxed after it,because you have to massage the conditioner into your scalp more than the shampoo and that ends up by giving you a nice feeling :).

One negative result - at least by me -:

You consume a lot of conditioner when you co-wash your hair.I guess I will soon have to buy another bottle,but it is so worth it!

Why co-washing?

1.)It leaves your hair very moisturized.

2.)It is faster than washing and conditioning your hair,so it is good if you need clean hair for an evening out,but you do not have so much time.

When to co-wash:

1.)I guess on this one,every woman would have to decide on her own,based on her hair type and how her hair reacts to co-washing.However,as far as I am concerned,I will co-wash my hair at least once in between two shampoo-conditioning my hair.Or when I feel like it - one thing I am learning more and more,is that you have to look what your hair needs.You have to sort of listen to it :) and then act accordingly.

2.)I would suggest co-washing to women with very dry hair.

When not to co-wash:

If your hair is very dirty.For me co-washing is more of a treatment.

ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF THE SUMMER

Slovenia

It is still quite warm where I am and summer shows us generously its final bloom.Just to give the autumn a warm welcoming!My summers are always very busy with work and I can never fully enjoy it.Every beginning of the hot season I plan to go more often to the beach or to spend more time with family and friends on warm evenings enjoying a delicious ice-cream,and I quite often buy new summer clothes along with a million ideas on how I will wear them.But,these plans always fail :)!Thus,when September has finally arrived I start to feel a little bit nostalgic and try in some ways to catch up the lost summer.For me the best way of doing this,is to exchange my working clothes (old T-shirts and stuff :) ) with some nice outfits.And then...and then to pretend that it is still summer... ;)!But,autumn is my favorite season and so the best is yet to come :)!I thought I would wear this outfit for a nice dinner outside on a warm summer evening,maybe enjoying my favorite food - grilled shrimps,which really are a speciality in Slovenia.That was not the case :D!Instead I wore it for a simple cinema evening (movie - Ugly Truth) with my best friend.But,we had a nice stroll through the city and the evening was definitely warm :).

I bought the dress in Italy,but I can not remember the name of the store.I even took away the label on the dress,because it was bothering me.However,I will try to remember it,because it is a kind of boutique store and I heard there is a chain of them in Italy.You never know,you might go to Italy and want to buy something there :)!

The scarf is such a random one :) - my mother received it as a present when she bought certain Lancome products and she gave it to me.I like it so much when I find use of the stuff, of which at first I thought it will just rest at the very end of my wardrobe.The bolero (Pimkie) and the bag (Morgan) are instead older items I chose with accuracy.I think a bolero is a must,especially if one desires to cover a little bit more.

This dress...oh this dress my girls I was longing to wear it for the whole summer,but no such luck :).I bought it in Cache-Cache (a French brand,as far as I know).That is a quite new store in Italy and I have not seen it anywhere else.Anyway,a friend of mine said that it is a very common one in France.It is a low cost brand and when you enter the shop you have to be prepared to dig through all the possible clothes they have,but you can find such treasures.As this dress is,at least for me :)!Not only it is in pink,my favorite color,but it is also so super comfortable.Yeah,this one was meant for a really special summer evening stroll,but...
I wore it instead for a shopping tour in Italy with my mother.It was however on an evening :D!

This dress is to me a little bit like the Indian ones.I feel so pretty in it and next summer I will not wait so long before wearing it...even if I will have to overdress to go and buy just some groceries on a summer evening :D!But,you know what,I am complaining in here on how dull my summer was,but in the end should not we be the ones creating occasions for a dress...or does a dress alone create the occasion :) - Inshallah - ?What do you think :)?

This is my hair!This picture was taken only a few days ago.Some days before that my mother trimmed my hair.Yes,I definitely waited too long to get my hair trimmed,but to make a long story short - I was too afraid to go to the hairdresser.It went so far,that once when I finally was in front of a hairdresser salon I then decided in the last minute not to enter.I was too ashamed of my hair which would fall like crazy at every shampoo.After that I decided to ask my mother for help!But,it took some time before we could meet.In the meanwhile I did some serious research on the net and found out I must be having a greasy tipe of dandruff - that is the one that sticks to your scalp and does not fall like snow on your shoulders,for example.And by greasy dandruff you loose a lot of hair - which is my case.I soon discovered that a good shampoo against dandruff should have among its ingredients Zinc Pyrithione and Salicylic Acid.I found those two in the anti dandruff shampoo by Garnier Fructis.This one was the only one having them both!Last week I finally noticed some results,as my scalp was cleaner and my hair was falling a little less.I think I should go to a doctor,but I am too scared of what he would say to me.For now,seeing the results from last week,I will stick to my new shampoo routine.However,If I will not see any major improvement I will be forced to go to the doctor.

It is hard,you know!Really hard.Sometimes I find myself crying in panic I will loose all of my hair.May Allah help me!

Baby,you make me shine,but it's just a fake shine!What I want to say is that all of these products are good,but they do not heal my hair.At least not the dandruff!As I said in my Hair Journey 1 I was going to use them and so I did.I even finished the Schauma Q10 Shampoo (thus in the above picture there is only the conditioner).The Pantene Pro-V Extra Volume Leave-in Conditioner is very good,but now that I am not drying my hair with a hairdryer I think it makes my hair too heavy.I think it works better with heat!Herbal Essences Moisturizing Shampoo is again,good,but it does not make my hair more healty.However,it smells really nice :)!

I ain't no man :D!After I discovered I must be having some serious problem with my scalp I went and bought a shampoo for sensitive scalp skin.O.K....but this shampoo is meant for men :D,as I discovered through some researches I did on the net.What was I thinking?I even washed my hair once with it :D!But,it was painful.Really!I knew I did something wrong...so I finally had to admit what the real problem was - DANDRUFF on a woman's scalp!Even the bottle looks so boyish ;D!BOH!!!

At the moment my shampoo routine is:

1.)Washing my hair with anti-dandruff shampoo by Garnier Fructis.I wash my hair twice a week.I shampoo my hair twice.The second time I leave the shampoo to work at least for 5 minutes.

2.)After I shampoo my hair,I use a hair conditioner for normal hair by Garnier Fructis.I decided to use this conditioner,because I did not want anything too heavy for my hair.I put the conditioner only on my hair and not on my scalp.I leave it to work for only 3 minutes,because I do not want my hair to get too heavy and greasy.

3.)I air dry my hair,since I read everywhere that heat can even increase the dandruff.

4.)To protect my hair from the weather I spray on them (not on the top of my head or near the scalp) Guhl Leave-in Hair Moisturizer.I simply love this product.It absolutely does not make my hair heavy,but only extremly soft and voluminous.Guhl is a German brand,so I do not know if it is possible to find it elsewhere,but in Germany,Austria or...yes Slovenia.I have never seen it in Italy!

5.)To style my hair I use only a hair spray,but about this one...next time :)!(Plus more about dandruff.)

...ABOUT AN EVEN MORE RANDOM MOVIE!
Today I saw the movie The Ugly Truth.I didn't like it!Not because it spits out the raw and uncensored truth about what men really want from women.There's nothing in this movie that I wouldn't already know :)!Anyway,my best friend and I were really eager to see it,since we were sure we would have a good laugh.Plus,we both find Katherine Heigl,the star of the movie,so cute. Yes,there were laughs and Katherine looked really nice.But,that was it!
The story is about a TV producer who seems incapable of finding herself a man.In her help comes a man,played by Gerard Butler,who is the star of a TV show she produces.He gives her advices on how to get a man she likes.Needless to say that his advices are based solely from a sexual point of view!Thus the movie is very explicit and with quite a few of bad words.She gets the man she likes,but on the expense of her truthful self.Well,as you can imagine at the end there's a twist to the story.
Actually,I think the movie could've been very interesting,but it was done in a bad way.It was too predictable!
The only thing I relly liked about the movie were the scenes where it shows how girlfriends jump up high and giggle when they like somebody or when they share their stories with eachother.It was just like looking at my friend and me when we tell eachother special things from our lives.So sweet :D!

The movie was directed by Robert Luketic.I've just discovered that he directed also the movie Legally Blonde (with Reese Witherspoon),one of my absolute favorites.Hm,this time around I wasn't impressed!

I GOT MYSELF A SCARF

At the beginning of the summer I said I am looking for a scarf (http://gelsominastar.blogspot.com/2009/06/got-to-get-me-scarf.html) and only in the first week of September I found the above one.I like it very much,because when I saw it I immediately could foresee all the ways in wich I would wear it.Even though I wanted a bigger scarf ,I'm really happy with the above one.I'm only sorry I will not be able to wear it during the summer.But,next year another summer will be here!The scarf is from H&M and it costed only about 8€.And,I'm not even a big fan of H&M :)!

Today I wore it like that,because I wanted to feel all wrapped in and protected.I knew I will have a very difficult day ahead of me.A very difficult one,actually!

There is nothing better than a big bag as your companion during a long and stressful day.You can hide inside of it all sorts of goodies which can help you go smoothly through such days...like a bottle of water for example.
I love this way of wearing a scarf as it really blends into an outfit.One could say it is just a part of a top.

The necklace is vintage and my mother got it for herself at a flea market somewhere...
When I first saw it,I was like blah :D...but then I saw the beauty in it and finally found a way to wear it.And...just borrowed it from my mother :).
I did not take a picture of them,but I am wearing some random wedges,just to feel higher and more confident ;).

BUBILI

It's been now around two months that I've a small and super sweet cat :).Her name is Bubili!Don't ask me where I got the name,because it just came into my mind when I first saw her =).

Well,I got her by a girl near my village in Slovenia and I gave her as a present to a friend of my mother.This friend went through some very serious troubles in the past few months and so I thought I'd give her a cat for company,since she lives alone.Anyway,things didn't work out as I wanted them to and this friend and Bubili just didn't go along.There was hate in the air!It ended up that one day my mother told me,her friend is seriously neglecting the cat.In fact,my mother said,that Bubili comes very often at her door (this friend lives very close to my parent's house) and makes a lot of.................................................shit there :D!I guess it was Bubili's way to say that there's something wrong!Then my mother and other people got very angry at me,because they all said I should've asked her friend if she even wanted a cat in the first place.I know now,that they were right!

However,after my parents being uber angry for having to clean that sh... almost every morning,I decided to spend two days at my parent's house and see what really goes on.And,soon I realized that everything was true.Bubili got little to eat,almost no water and was overall neglected and left alone in the unberable heat of the summer.Thus,I decided to go to my mother's friend and have a talk with her.Of course,I went there only after I calmed down a bit,because I was so terribly angry.The lady in question told me then that she's really sorry,but that she's too weak to take care of the little Bubili.It's true,she's not in the best of her healt!We talked for a long time and in the end I took Bubili with me and brought her to my place.To the content of the lady and my parents :)!

All good what ends good,now Bubili is staying with me at my place in Italy and we're getting along just fine.She eats a lot,let me tell you this :)!I even had to reorganize a little my budget to be able to buy her food :).At my place there's a garden,so she's able to be out a lot and I don't need to have a litter for her.And,there hasn't been any sh.. at my place either.Lucky me ;)!Now and then I let her go into my bed (as in the pictures above) and we cuddle like crazy.Well,I cuddle her and she plays the snobbish one :D!

I'm happy to have her and maybe it was just meant to be like this.

My dear Muslim friends,

Lately I have been thinking a lot about old people.Not long ago,somebody said to me:"You know,young people are strange.They make fun of us,old ones,but they clearly seem to forget that one day they will be old,too." That is so true,isn't it?

I have a grandmother who is in a house for elderly people.Thus I am many times confronted with the realities old people face.The biggest problem is that many of them are left alone by their families who are too busy to take care of them or just to be with them.Every person should be taking care for his parents even after they left their family of origin ages before.After all,have our parents left us alone when we were those terrible teenagers or when we needed money.They did not!

My grandmother is not an easy person to be with.Nor is she very nice.But,one thing is for sure,she made my father into the beautiful man he is today,and for that she deserves all my respect.When she tells me about her life during Second World War than I am all ears and I am so grateful,because I always discover new things which make me appreciate all I have even more.

You can learn so much from them!

So,let us take care of older people,be it our parents,neighbours or simply family friends.Sometime it will be difficult to bear with their lack of memory or with their slow walking,but if we stick with them at the end we will be rewarded so much more than we have ever expected.If the children will see how we take care of older people,they will learn that this is the right thing to do.And chances are they will take care of us when we will be so old that even walking on stairs will be a challenge.What goes around,comes around!

Let us make old people part of our family and of our life.And next time we wonder how to bake that delicious cake,why not asking our grandmother for an advice.I am sure she will give us the best recipe ever together with a story of how she amazed our grandfather with her wonderful cooking.We will end up having such fun!

One day we will be at their place for sure.And that is something we shall never forget!

NIGHT...OUT

Saturday night fever!Yes,fever indeed.

Last week was a long one!Full of work.But then came the long awaited night when a friend of mine and I would go out and dance.Till morning light!

Oh,how sweet was the night,but if I think well and deep inside of me,the best of it all were the days before it.The preparation,the organization,the expectation!And the prayers to Him above to protect us from harm and let us just dance.

That night I saw the harm,oh yes I did!The devil!I wanted not to look,but I could not.The shock was too big!I wondered wath the white dust does to them - the lost ones.

So,the sun came up and let the night go.There we were looking at the birds (http://gelsominastar.blogspot.com/2009/04/bird.html) and exchanging those last memories of the night,just before hitting the road to home.

I am thankful to my family,friends and Allah for keeping me far away from that road were nice people,just like you and me, get lost...forever.

MOVIE TIME

During the week I watched this movie and I really liked it.I was craving for a romantic comedy and this one was far above my expectation.Apart from the romance you catch a good laugh - for almost the whole movie!

The story is about a young successful woman from Canada whose visa in the U.S.A. is due to expire.In order to get another visa she decides :) to marry her assistan.The question is,will they trick their family and friends,and above all the foreign office that they are truely in LOVE?If you would like the answer,I suggest you to go and see the movie!Maybe with your girlfriends,as I did.I promise you,you will have a nice girly time =)!

The Movie was directed by Anne Fletcher.What can I say,only a woman knows what women want :D!

MY HAIR JOURNEY 1

My hair is in very bad condition!By watching some YouTube channels about beauty and hair care,I decided to undertake a hair journey in the hope of achieving healty and beautiful hair,Inshallah.

I think I was mostly inspired by a YouTube channel by Nunaavane,who also has a blog.This one is listed on my side bar as one of my favorite reads,under the name of A woman world.When she said in one of her videos that we should enjoy our hair,that really made me decide to finally do something with my own hair.In fact I was not enjoying my hair anymore and even if I would manage to style them nicely I was very conscious about how unhealty they were.

As you could hear in my short video I started this journey about ten days ago.The products I am using right now are very cheap (all of them are undere 10EUR,except for the hair vitamins supplement pills which cost 24EUR) and nothing really special.I want to try other products I have seen on YouTube,but it takes a little bit time.

I am so excited and I have great hopes.If you are interested to follow me on this adventure,please read my future hair posts.They will all be numbered and listed under the tag beauty on my side bar.In this way it will be always possible to find them among other posts.Wish me luck ;)!

My next hair post will most probably be about me going to the hair dresser to have my split ends cut.I can not tell you how difficult that is for me,because I am so embarrassed to show from so near my hair.Inshallah,all goes well!

My computer is not working.O.K. it can happen!But,not after I took it to the service to be repaired,got it back and it doesn't work again.Right now I'm so furious that I'm having a fantasy of smashing someone's had toward a wall!!!

Yesterday,at work I got a comment I'd have never ever expected!It went like this:

Mr. P. (a very nice and special older man): Jasmina why on earth are you wearing those long skirts when outside there're almost 40*C (that's very hot :) ).Ohhh,you're covering too much!
Me (I bursted out in such a laugh :D!Seriously,what else could I've done.You know how I dress!) : Maybe!Well,you know how it is,I like to come at work looking decent.
Mr.P. : Yes,yes,but you could wear shorter skirts.It's so hot!
Me : Well,you know I like the style of these skirts and they're so flowy that I'm really not that hot.Plus,they protect my legs from the direct sun light and thus I don't notice it's so super hot.
Mr.P. (trying to be flirty :D:D:D - maybe I should have rememberd him that he could be my grandfather) : But I'm sure you have some nice legs under there!
Me (I was laughing so much :)!I've known him for a very long time and I know how he is ;) ) : Ahhh,let's just leave it!
Mr. P. (old playboy :D) : No,no,no...you're also covering while you're cleaning!
Me (having a good time) : Yes,in this way I'm protecting my skin from the dust.Cammon...I'm not covering that much!After all I'm wearing T-shirts.
Mr. P. (not convinced :) ) : But such a nice girl shouldn't be covering that much!I don't know there's something about you...
Me (really surprised :) ) : What :)?
Mr. P. (trying to be serious =) ) : I don't know! You know my dear,I was thinking...since she's always so much covered in the winter,maybe in the summer I'll be lucky and see her in a short skirt...(winking at me :D )
Me (confused :) ) : But,I'm wearing shorter skirts!?
Mr. P. (confused more than me :D ) : I've never seen you in one!
Me (trying to be smart :) ) : That's because you never go to the beach with me...(now,I'm the one winking :D )
Mr. P. ( all shy and blushing =) ) : Hahaha :)))!!!

During the work I couldn't stop thinking about this funny conversation :)!Then I realized that also my mother gave me a puzzled glance some time ago while I was looking through a magazine and asked me with a rather strange voice if I like the bikini on a page I was looking at.She seemed relieved when I told her that I like it,but that I don't really have the body for such a sexy thing ;)... And,my father is always surprised when I tell him to put on a shirt when he goes out the door with his bare chest...yes,because it's not unusual in Slovenia to see men with their chest out in the sun while they're doing some work in the garden :)...
Maybe there're some changes in me and my little world,but it's all natural and that's exactly how I want it to be.

BLESSED WITH BAD WEATHER

I'm sitting in front of my mother's PC and the window ,which was just a little bit opened,opened out at once and a rush of fresh wind came inside the room.How relaxing!

Strange,about a month ago we had what we use to call in Slovenia real hot-humid summer weather,but now the sun is not that strong anymore.I ask myself,where has the summer gone?Well,wherever you are my dear summer,be where you are.I want this wind and the clouds above the house,so that I can work easier and wear clothes without the need of changing them at least twice a day.Ohhh,how I hate the humidity that arises here in the summer!

But I guess summer will be back again,and than maybe I'll go to the beach a little bit.That is the only fun part of the summer for me!I love the first days of September when the sun is still warm and nice,but not too much.You can dress up in those super nice summer dresses and walk,walk,walk without sweatting.And all is in the bloom then,the final bloom before the autumn and winter.However,summer will be here for at least another two months,so I guess I better figuer that out :)!And enjoy it,somehow!

I miss my Koran here,this is why I can not post any verses at the end of each post,but I will be back to that soon,too.

Last week on the 23d of June I turned 35.All through the week I had some parties goning on :)!Thus it is not strange that today I feel a little bit tired and so I decided to stay at my parent's house for another day.Just to relax :)!Today I am using my mother's computer,so this post is going to be very quick and mostly in pictures.I thank Allah for a beautiful family and friends that showed me their love and surprised me with beautiful presents.What can I say,I am 35 :)...a fully grown up woman...there is no way back ;)!Here are just some pictures of a long week... My cake,with lots of fruit,chocolate and cream.A surprise from my parents :)!

In the last few days I found on the internet two styles I really like.The first picture is of a girl whose BLOG I follow (http://deepinvogue.blogspot.com/) and the second one is a picture I found on another BLOG (http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/) when I was just cruising around.I love the idea of having a big light scarf for the summer.Something to throw on and flow with it through the streets.That is going to be my next buy!I know there are many scarfs out there,but it will be a challenge to find a real big one.I want it to be made of cotton and light,light,light for those heavy,hot and humid summer days out here in Slovenia.

Serigne Mam Mor MBACKE

(The Mourid cheik (marabout) that talked on the event this Staurday.It was such an honor for me to see him.When he walked into the room I felt such a strong energy.)

I just wanted to say that two days ago I went to a Mourid event.It was nice,but in the end I was so tired.I have so much to study and to work lately that I just could not concentrate properly.I ended up thinking that it would have been better for me to stay home,but again there are not many possibilities to attend such an event around here.And...Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba said that we should work,study and pray hard.That really summs up his teachings.Thus maybe I should have stayed home.

What really surprised me at the event was that my friend from Senegal started a funny conversation about why am I not wearing a veil.I really thought it was funny how she approached the argument :).You know when people do not ask you directly something,but play around it.Well,I smiled at it all,because by know it should be very clear that I am not going to wear a veil.I wear it very seldom...But,on Saturday I wore it when the Mourid imam we were waiting for came.I do not want to pretend,but I really pulled a nice look that day.Long skirt,top made of flowing material,silver color glittering bolero,a scarf around my neck with the same glittering details as the bolero.However,nothing can really beat the beautiful style of Senegalese women.I miss my camera!

Oh...before I forget...at the event I bought two posters,one of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba and another one is representing one of his sons.One day I will show them to you :)!

Oh...oh...and ohhhh again and again :(...

I so much want to start taking pictures of my summer looks,but my camera isn't working.I so wish I could upload some pictures on my BLOG.Really,I miss this so much!Especially because I came up with some great looks that with a carding here and a scarf there can be worn by girls who cover their hair,too.As you all know,I don't cover my hair,but I still like my look to be smart and not invading.So...in these days I'll try to get my camera fixed and I won't be posting till then!

Thus...today just to satisfy my craving for fashion posts I'll post a picture of my beloved Jessica Alba wearing a bag that I really wish I had.It's a Chanel one :)...Oh dreams come true!I so like this bag,but for now I'm not able to invest in it.However,I've been doing some researches and maybe I'll be able to get it this year...somehow... :)

FAMILY TIME

Family is extremly important!However,I often end up asking myself how much time do we really have to dedicate to it.When is too much?

I am not talking of how much a wife or a husband should be with eachother,nor am I talking of how much parents should be with their children.In my opinion that is a private matter for each family on her own.Depending on schedules of all sorts.No,I am talking here of a family at large.You know,granndparents,unts,uncles,cousins and so on and on...

Please,do not get me wrong,I really think that family ties should be treasured,but quite often I found myself caring so much for it and in return I did not get much.No love there,no support whatsoever.Maybe it is a culture thing.Many of my friends say that in western Europe the family ties are not so strong and that I care to much about it.Maybe,but the fact that remains for me is that blood is not water.

Yes,blood is not water...Well,lately I started to care for myself first.Who knows if I gained more respect for that.It is not important in the end,because I know that whatever I do it will never bring my family all together on a Sunday for a lovely brunch.

I am thinking of all of this,because this afternoon a friend of mine and I are going to a funeral of a friend's uncle.We did not know the uncle,but we go to give our support to our friend.She needs it so much,because she dedicates so much time to her family,but often ends up being mocked by them because she is single and thus has no children.I know these things can hurt a lot.It happened to me very often,and to many of my friends as well.In the end,you really ask yourself:"Is all the stress worth it?"
